This is a 4in x 6in mailable postcard that I created for Cedar River Cellars, a small winery located in Renton, WA. The owner of the winery requested that the card say Happy Birthday and feature a 20% discount that their clients could use during their birthday month. They provided a couple of images, including:

• The bottle of Cedar River Cellar wine on the back
• The wine glass with the engraved Cedar River Cellar logo
• The Cedar River Cellar Logo
• The Best of Renton Ribbon

I found the images of Eastern Washington using a Google search with the usage rights set to "Labeled for reuse with modification." My clients get their grapes from Eastern Washington.

I illustrated the contact information icons and white, semi-transparent wine bottle in Adobe Illustrator.

The winery owners gave me permission to use any text found on their website.

I put the card layout together in Adobe InDesign.

My client's favorite part of the design was how I place the Best of Renton Ribbon their wine bottle.

The client prints out several hundred copies every couple of months, hand writes their members names and addresses on the back and mails them out every month near their client's birthdays.
